The Loft - Parent Support Package

A personalised parent support process that helps families understand what may be driving everyday challenges, identify key focus areas, and explore practical ways to support their child in daily life.

When you’re raising a neurodivergent child, it can sometimes feel like everything is connected, mornings, sleep, emotional overwhelm, transitions, food, flexibility, school, sibling dynamics, regulation, motivation, and family stress. Parents are often left trying to work out:
  • What matters most right now?
  • What’s actually sitting underneath these patterns?
  • Where do we even start?

Many families arrive carrying years of information, strategies, assessments, opinions, and recommendations, but still feeling unsure how to make sense of what’s happening in the flow of everyday life. The Loft was developed to support parents by helping families build a clearer understanding of their child, identify priorities, and explore practical ways of supporting the moments that matter most in daily life.

The Loft is a Personalised Parent Support Package

Supported by a library of parent education resources focused on neurodivergent children, emotional regulation, executive functioning, nervous system regulation, family life, and understanding the patterns sitting underneath everyday struggles.

The process begins with an initial parent session and leads to the development of an Everyday Support Blueprint, an individualised guidance document built around your child, your family, and your priorities.

This helps connect:

  • the challenges you’re seeing
  • what may be contributing underneath them
  • where support may be most relevant right now
  • practical next steps
  • the most relevant areas to focus on first and access to more information and resources to support this

The 4 Steps of The Loft

The Loft follows a four step process. For families new to working with me, this begins with an initial parent consultation booked separately. For families already working with me, we pick up from Step 2.

Step 1.

Parent Consultation and Understanding the Bigger Picture

We begin with a parent session focused on understanding your child and family within the context of everyday life. We explore:

  • the challenges you’re noticing
  • the situations that feel hardest
  • the patterns that keep repeating
  • your child’s strengths
  • the priorities that feel most important to your family right now.

This helps build a clearer picture of what may be contributing to the struggles you’re seeing and where support may be most meaningful to begin.

Step 2.

Identifying Key Themes and Priorities

Following the session, I bring together the key themes, patterns, challenges, and priorities that emerged during our discussion. Depending on your child and family, this may include areas such as:

  • nervous system and self-regulation
  • emotional regulation
  • executive functioning
  • flexible thinking and transitions
  • morning routines
  • sleep
  • eating and food experiences
  • motivation, interests, and engagement
  • self-concept and confidence
  • household harmony and family rhythms
  • common family concerns including screen time and siblings
  • nutrition, movement, nature, and play

The goal is to help organise what can often feel overwhelming into a clearer and more manageable understanding.

Step 3.

Developing Your Everyday Support Blueprint

I then create an individualised Support Pathway document tailored to your child and family.

This document helps connect:

  • the challenges you’re experiencing
  • possible contributing factors
  • practical starting points
    relevant goals and priorities
  • and the areas of support that may be most helpful to focus on first

The goal is not to create a rigid plan, but to help families feel clearer about where to begin and what may be most relevant for their situation.

Step 4.

Supporting Everyday Family Life

From there, the focus shifts toward gradually building understanding, shared language, practical supports, and problem-solving within the flow of everyday life.

The process is designed to support parents in the real moments where challenges tend to show up:

  • during mornings, transitions, emotional moments, school stress, sibling conflict, bedtime, and the many small moments that repeat across the week.

The goal is to help families feel clearer, more supported, and more confident in understanding and responding to what may be sitting underneath the hard moments.

What Is Included

The Loft combines personalised parent support with access to a library of parent education resources designed to support understanding and implementation across everyday life.

Families receive:

  • an Everyday Support Blueprint, a personalised document that organises priorities, practical starting points, and guidance on which resources are most relevant for your family
  • practical parent-focused psychoeducation
  • ongoing access to a library of video and audio recordings covering the key topics that come up most in my work with families, so you can revisit and build on support at your own pace

Why I Created The Loft

Over years of working with parents, I noticed the same themes, questions, and challenges coming up again and again in sessions.

Families were trying to make sense of things like emotional regulation, executive functioning, anxiety, sleep, transitions, motivation, overwhelm, and everyday family life, often while also trying to absorb large amounts of information in already full and emotionally loaded appointments.

So I created the Loft as a more practical and accessible way of supporting parents around these topics.

Part of creating the Loft was about making this information easier for parents to access in real life. Parents can return to topics in their own time, pause and revisit information when it becomes relevant, and build shared understanding across caregivers without needing to absorb everything at once in a session.

I’ve also been very deliberate in how the Loft has been created. Rather than offering rigid or one-size-fits-all parenting advice, the focus is on helping parents build deeper understanding, thoughtful problem-solving, and practical supports that fit their actual child, family, and everyday life.

Because in my experience, both professionally and personally, having a deeper understanding of what may be sitting underneath difficult moments can shift how parents make sense of and respond to those moments
